Welcome to Ysgol Llwyncelyn's website. We are a successful, popular and happy school in Porth, Rhondda Valley.
We have 328 pupils registered at the school. We are totally committed to providing your child with the best start in life, offering a wide range of educational, social and cultural experiences in order that they achieve the highest standards possible.
We attempt to reach this goal in a caring and inspirational environment, one that helps the individual to develop independently within their school community and the wider community as a whole.
The education of our pupils is a partnership between the home and the school, and at Llwyncelyn, we hope to develop and keep strong working partnerships between parents / carers and the children in our care.
The children only have one opportunity and we are committed to ensuring equality of opportunity for all, this is a responsibility we take very seriously.
Lifelong learning is an essential part of the ethos here at Ysgol Llwyncelyn. The skills they achieve here have an effect on the progress they make throughout their lives. We are an outward-looking and forward-thinking school in an ever-changing world.
Our new vision outlines the need to prepare the children of today for the modern digital world without forgetting why you send your child to Llwyncelyn – discipline, standards and heritage. These core values are the foundations on which our school was built and will remain as we face new and exciting challenges.
Ysgol Llwyncelyn is a polite and caring family, one that we hope you cherish for life.
The school badge gives out a powerful message “ Their language is forever”, something we aspire to achieve for our children.
